Ezekiel 18:20a: The one who sins is the one who will die. The child will not share the guilt of the parent, nor will the parent share the guilt of the child.
The above Bible quote is used by some Trumpublican anti-abortionists as a reason that there should be no exceptions for abortion, including for rape and/or incest.
As examples go...this Bible verse is a pretty good one.
However, Trumpublican extremists, unhappy with the medical procedure exceptions for the violent act of rape, add a rejoinder that: A woman can't get pregnant if she is raped. And : The rapist should be allowed visitation rights with the child.
In other words, the unholy conception associated with rape should not be negated because of the value of life created by both the mother and father no matter the trials and tribulations involved.
The right to 'life', liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
I call bullshit.
It seems the "Christian" in Trump and his cronies only goes so far.
There is an American right that is at the heart of the American experience. If you are born on American soil, you automatically become part of the American soil. You are automatically a U.S. citizen.
Trump wants to get rid of this American Constitutional right. He says if a child is born to illegal immigrants that child will not longer be automatically an American.
The right to 'Life', liberty and the pursuit of happiness will no longer apply for children to parents whose only sin could be as small as not having the right paperwork.
Bullshit!
Guns can't be touched because its a Constitutional guarantee. But natural born American citizens can be deported from their own homeland?
Bullshit!
Because of supposed family values Trumpublicans believe the children of rapists have no choice but to be with their criminal fathers, but naturally born American kids get deported from their own country with their own mothers and fathers for far less criminal behavior.
Matthew 18:6: But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a great millstone fastened around his neck and to be drowned in the depth of the sea.
Leviticus 19:33-34: When a foreigner resides among you in your land, do not mistreat them. The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt.".
Nuff said.
