HIKING The Buckeye Trail:Cedar Falls to Old Man's Cave

Once we got to Cedar Falls we wished it wasn't the dry sea- son. There was NO water to flow over the falls.

But this was an excellent section of the BT to traverse. The rock formations were not only beautiful and breathtaking, but fun to hike over.

Nikolas lead most of the way.Adam kept us going, and Tyler, kept the discussions from getting too awfully dull.

The journey was one of the most WoW inspired hikes that I have ever been on.Though only a day hike-not back-packing-and we only did two day hikes with a base camp, the BT really came through for us.

We were once again amazed by The Buckeye Trail and the Buckeye State.

One side note,we planned only to hike the two mile(one way)section to Cedar Falls and only packed enough water for that trip. But when we discovered that Old Man's Cave was only a little more the two miles further...we up and did it...and ran out of water for the way back.

Though, not really a real hardship...well not until we we had to go UP again at the beginning(ending?) to Cedar Falls...by then we had a bad thirst....but no water. The pump at Cedar's Falls was broken!

In the best case of 'Stone Soup-ism' that I have ever seen,Robyn asked a group of picnicker's for a single ice cube....

...And ended up getting each of us a whole bottle of iced up water.

Water never tasted so gosh darned good.Way to go,CNB:-)
